REDEVELOPMENT OF THE FORMER ASBESTOS MINE
The redevelopment of Balangero and Corio mining site, taking the cue from its historical and productive value, from its evocative appearance and its rough nature,
proposes to repossess the territory through the restoration of the historical itinerary in the eco-museum, the settlement of production activities that give back what the mineral processing removed, the planning for the conversion of the buildings, letting them free to be enveloped by natural elements.
A memorable tour pathway that enhances the pre-existent character of the area allowing its enjoyment from unusual and surprising panoramas. The natural park is not only a place to be preserved, but becomes the breeding ground of dynamic and shared experimental research.
